3 STEPS TO BEGIN EMOTIONAL HEALING
Healing is a journey and a process. Below find a few steps to start the journey. Healing emotionally is so important to be able to heal in other areas of life.
Here are a few steps to begin healing emotionally:
1. Acknowledge and Accept Your Pain
Take time to identify and validate what you're feeling without judgment.
Understand that emotional pain is part of being human and doesn't define your worth.
Journaling or praying about your emotions can help you process and name them.
2. Invite God Into Your Healing Process
Surrender your hurt to God and trust Him to guide your healing journey.
Spend time in prayer, scripture, and worship to find comfort and direction.
Scriptures like Psalm 34:18 ("The Lord is close to the brokenhearted") remind you that God is present in your pain.
3. Take Small, Purposeful Steps Forward
Surround yourself with a supportive community, such as a trusted friend, counselor, or church group.
Establish healthy routines that nurture your mind, body, and spirit, like exercising, eating well, and meditating on God’s Word.
Focus on progress, not perfection, as healing is a journey, not a race.
