THERAPY

Have you taken a moment to pause and look around you and think, I have an amazing life?

If not, I invite you to do so.

Life is full of ups and downs. Twists and turns, triumphs and trials that simply are unavoidable.  We cannot escape these trials or challenges but we can go through them easier if we develop a mindset of this too shall pass.

Life is what happens to us and we don’t have a lot of control over it, but how we make it through is within our control.

We can not control the outcome of a job whether we retire from it or get fired from it, but we can control how we respond.

Relationships we can not control the person we are in the relationship with, but we can control how we treat them, but even if they decide to treat you bad or if they walk away we still can control our response.

Taking a step back and looking how we control ourselves is vitally important.

Therapy is so necessary in life.  I am not talking about just sitting on someone’s sofa and talking about life idiosyncrasies I am talking about stepping away for a bit and sit in the presence of the Lord.  This is therapy.  We don’t have to pretend to be okay with Him, we can be who we are and be how we feel. Sometimes we can just be quiet and He will speak to us in the moment and give us revelation to what is bothering us, even when we have no clue.

Spending time with the ultimate healer will do wonders for your mental health. We don’t have to pretend we are doing ok when truly we know we’re not.  You can be as raw as necessary because He already knows.

Therapy is nothing to be embarrassed by it is healing for the soul.

A lot of our hurts as adults come from brokenness as a child that was never addressed and healed, but pushed so far down that you forget it ever happened until one day something triggers it and you lose control.

Truly it is not your fault and just because it happened to you as a child by someone it may not be their fault either.  It could be what is known as a generational curse.

A generational curse is a behavior, thought or action that has been a “tradition “ in the family that has been going on for decades or centuries.  Just because it was how you were taught does not mean it was the right thing to do.

Traditions, behaviors that cause harm should be looked at, corrected and changed when they are unhealthy.

How do you know something is unhealthy and need changing?

What’s the result of that tradition or behavior?

Go to therapy with the Lord and let Him expose it.  Go to the word and see what it says about it.  Does it say that it can cause you to harm yourself or others, if so…then it’s in your control to allow change to happen.

Therapy is designed to get to the root of the issues once we get to the roots and expose them we should no longer be in agreement with those feelings and denouncing and renouncing them is paramount to staying healed.

Go to therapy in the spiritual or natural and get healed.

And know with proper applied strategies, this too shall pass.
