WAITING ON GOD

Waiting on God.  

What does that look like?

It's actually different for everyone and I am sure you have figured that out by now.

Let's look at the parts that are common for everyone.  Yes, believe it or not as we wait on God , we will experience a lot of the same things as a people and as His children.

The first thing we will experience is a lesson in patience.  Patience, they say is a virtue...which means without patience we can make mistakes...let's not be impatient, so we do not have a mess to clean up being ourselves.

Patience is one of the Fruits of the Spirits.  When we are patient life becomes more enjoyable because we can slow down and enjoy the time of wait.  We have a better opportunity to appreciate the saying STOP & SMELL the roses.

Ask yourselves, what am I really anxious for what am being impatient about. And then figure out is this God's will for you that you are waiting on?

As a child of God we must know that anything we are believing for, must be discussed with the Holy Spirit.  Has he said to you, this is what I have for you and has he given you the strategies, the path way to get the thing or have you decided this is what I want and I am believing God to give it to me?

That very question will help you to understand the wait.  When we are believing God for something and He did not give us the desire for it, we may be waiting in vain.

However, when God puts a desire in our hearts know this it will come to pass, we just have to trust and believe and wait on God.

WHY you ask? Why do I have to wait on God to get it, if He put it on my heart, He must want us to have it.

Well, the answer to that great question is this.  We have to be ready, prepared, equipped and able to handle the thing God wants to bless us with. 

Example...If God has given you a desire to become head of a billion dollar business, you first must learn all there is about the business,  every aspect of the history of how it started, from the bottom to the top.

If, you had no knowledge of the roots of said company and you just slid into the CEO position and made willy nilly decisions, and did not consult any person who has been with the company for years, how long do you think you will be in position or how long do you think the company will remain a billion dollar company.

Without proper training and research and consulting and patience...TIME...you will not be able to receive the promise, because you will never be ready. And if that things does come to you, how long to you think it will last with out the proper education.

God is the absolute best teacher.  Be teachable by being patience and leaning into the guidance a direction of the Holy Spirit.

Life "can be" difficult and challenging at times, but it can also be a good teacher filled with great lessons and opportunities to live your best life when your learn to slow down and smell the roses and ask the Holy Spirit to pour into you with wisdom and knowledge. 

Patience, Love, Peace, Joy, Gentleness, Kindness,Faithfulness, Goodness and Self-Control. Galatians 5:22-23
