Faith in Action

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Faith...do we truly have enough when we are believing God for a (the) desire(s) of our hearts?

There was / is a song by the late George Michael; "Got to have Faith"

No truer words, in regards to getting the desire of your heart, can be spoken.  We have to have faith in God.  If we are believing God for something and we know it lines up with His word and will...we really can believe for it and have it, in Gods time.

But, in order for it to manifest, God has to arrange things, just so and while he is arranging things just so, there could be a delay, not always but sometime because God is making things just right for a long lasting effect, not just a temporary time, but everlasting.

It is in the waiting where we can get ourselves in trouble and cause an even longer delay by causing us to lay hands or our mouths on a thing, which in turn God then has to come behind us and clean up the mess we made...hence delay.

When we are tempted to do these things, I encourage you to reflect on the prayers He has answered previously...reach out to someone you trust to receive a nuggets of reminders and encouragement...even laugh together about your doubt...we have all been there and if it is a good source...they will confess their times of doubt which in turn can turn into a session of encouragement.

How does that happen?  Doubt!

Doubt is a tool the enemy uses against God's people.  He listens and watches us.  Although he can not hear our thoughts, he listens to our nagging and complaining...he watches our behaviors / actions.  When he notices we are spiraling into the sea of negativity he springs into action with his plans and schemes to make us think that what we desire will never happen.  Then we get into this fog of doubt and if we are not careful that fog can walk us right into doubting us out of Gods' promise.

Be careful not to allow your mind to cause you a delay of God's promises.  The sea of doubt (your mind) is where the enemy attacks the hardest.  Learn to swim...in the sea of FAITH and BELIEF.
