SPEAKING LIFE IN AN AGE OF NEGATIVITY

 What are you speaking?

We are in a season of difficult times all around us, everywhere you look, it seems there is turmoil, trauma, heart ache / heart break, loss of life or job, family, etc...   The list can seem endless, and you may even feel like there is no end in sight.  And you are wondering how much longer...when will we turn the corner?

Good news....today is the WHEN.

It all starts in our thinking and the words we choose to give a voice.

We as a BELIEVER in God and a lover of Christ Jesus have the ability...the absolute ability to change our environment...yep, we can change our environment which can in turn begin to cause a domino effect in our lives and the lives of others.

If we all begin to understand this principle and apply it in our everyday lives change will begin to become an undeniable evident.

The word says there is power in the tongue, we also have the ability, to curse and bless.

Proverbs 18:21

New International Version

21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

James 3:10

New Living Translation

10 And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!

What a choice...to be able to curse or bless simply by speaking.  That is some power right there!

Speaking life changes things.  Now, I did not say CAN, I said..."CHANGES THINGS"...no ifs, ands or buts about it.  It is straight facts.

Don't believe me...test it for yourself. Let us take God at His word.

If these things were not so, it would not be written in the Book.  There is a lot of emphasis on the tongue.   There is a scripture that states we will give an account of every idle (empty) word spoken.

Note* (This means we are talking, and our words are hurtful and full of hot air, not edifying or encouraging or lifting ourselves or others up).  We will be asked to explain.

Matthew 12:36

New International Version

36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.

As you begin to walk with God and study His word, you realize that God is not a man that He should lie...you will notice your life changing.

Numbers 23:19

King James Version

19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

****Disclaimer *****

When I began walking with God, I struggled reading The Bible, it was not making sense to me, but I wanted to read it.  So, I prayed for the understanding of His word.

I then came across different stories, that seemed like on repeat....and I am thinking...didn't I read this story before?  Then I would notice familiar words over in the same context....so
I began to realize that when something in the Bible is repeated, pay attention.   God is making a point or drawing your attention to something.

Not only is this true for the Bible, but in life. When you see something multiple times or have the same dream or vision multiple times.... hear something multiple times...God is communicating, so stop, pay attention, ask questions if need be, but do not miss it.

When it comes to our words, take on the pattern / behavior of speaking it until you see it.  God moves in all things positive.  But He can and will allow something's too, but hopefully, you will recognize before you are too far down the path of whatever and change your verbiage with less impact, however, if you are one that takes a bit more convincing....no matter how far you travel down that path...know you are never too far that God cannot reach down and save you.โค

 Isaiah 59:1-2

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

59 Behold, the Lordโ€™s hand is not shortened at all, that it cannot save, nor His ear dull with deafness, that it cannot hear.

I am not asking you to take my word for it...I am only suggesting you try it for yourself.

Every word written in the Bible is absolutely, true.

There is not one strategy in the Bible that will not come to fruition when you put it into practice.   Some may take longer than others...but the Bible is basic instructions on living your life as a Christian.

Basic principles written by man, but God breathe, not man interpretation, but God breathed.

I am a living testimony of choosing to speak life.

God bought me back to life, because I dared to believe and did what His word said.

Blessings
