Word Choice

What are you speaking?

Our words are powerful....its not just a saying, it is true.  If it were not so, there would not be so much reference to it in the bible.

The word says:


Matthew 12:36

We will give an account for every ideal word spoken


When we believe in the Lord we want to be in obedience to Him and it includes how we speak...

Proverbs 18:21

Life and death are in the power of the tongue

Ephesians 4:29

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs,  that it may benefit those who listen

Proverbs 15:4

The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but perverse tongue crushes the spirit

Matthew 15:11

What goes into someone's mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiled them

James 1:19

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this:  Everyone should be quick to listen,  slow to speak and slow to become angry.

These are just a drop in the bucket of what should be coming out of our mouths.

Let us always be mindful of the words we choose to speak it changes things.
